We're currently on a BTW FTTC package with an 84.45.155.* IPv4 and a 2001:4d48:ad54:.... IPv6 range.
If/when we move to a FTTP product, will these IP addresses change (if we stay via BTW or if we switch to the cheaper per Mbps CityFibre provided line).
Obviously switching to FTTP will end the PSTN line-rental side of things - will there be any problems porting the number to a UK VoIP provider (and does Aquiss provide any "recommended solution" for us poor s*ds still stuck in poor mobile coverage areas and hence need a non-mobile number).
Migrating to FTTP
I can confirm, in your case, IP assignments will change, as we are currently going through a process of changing IPs to new Aquiss blocks, as we have brought a 15 year leasing arrangement to an end. At the point of a change to FTTP we will automatically assign new static IPv4 & IPv6.
We recommend porting numbers to Voipfone, who can handle this with ease.
